Regalia

Graduates must wear caps and gowns over business attire for their graduation ceremony. You received your regalia last year. If you have any questions please contact: mpr@qatar.cmu.edu

How to care for your gown:

Caring For Your Gown

  • Remove the gown and place on a hanger to allow the folds to fall out, and hang your gown in a high humidity area.
  • If you wish to press your gown, turn it inside out and press with a warm, not hot iron. Steaming is also an option.

Mortarboard

Contrary to what you may have heard, caps should not be worn on the back of the head…the mortarboard should be worn flat on the head. The front of the cap is indicated on the inside of the crown.
